Aditi Avasthi, the visionary founder and CEO of Embibe, is on a mission to revolutionize education in India. With a deep passion for transforming the state of learning, Aditi has made waves in the edtech industry with her innovative platform.

Embibe, an AI-powered edtech platform based in Bengaluru, has emerged as a formidable competitor to major players like Byju’s, Physics Wallah, and Unacademy. It is renowned for its exceptional online test prep tools for engineering and medical entrance exams. Aditi’s relentless determination and audacity to dream big have been instrumental in Embibe’s success.

Hailing from Ludhiana in Punjab, Aditi completed her BTech from Thapar University in 2003 before pursuing an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. She gained valuable experience working at esteemed firms such as Tata Consultancy Services and Barclays, where she served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Product and Strategy Head for the company’s mobile banking division in Africa.

Aditi’s own educational journey, marked by narrowly missing admission to IIT, fueled her desire to address the shortcomings and rigidity of India’s education system. In 2012, she founded Embibe with a singular mission: to democratize education in the country through a technology-driven platform. Embibe empowers students to crack competitive exams like NEET and IIT JEE by offering a dynamic, self-updating curriculum designed around the principles of self-learning.

At the core of Embibe’s success is its integration of artificial intelligence and data science, making thousands of concepts from grades one to twelve more accessible and understandable. Through a pilot project, the platform helped tribal students in Rajasthan qualify for top engineering colleges, showcasing its efficacy in bridging educational gaps.

In 2018, Embibe secured a remarkable $180-million investment from Reliance Industries, with the conglomerate acquiring a 73 percent stake in the platform. Aditi Avasthi’s transformative impact on India’s edtech space earned her recognition as one of BBC’s most influential women in India in 2017.

Aditi Avasthi’s journey exemplifies a relentless pursuit of educational excellence, harnessing technology to make quality education accessible to all. With Embibe’s cutting-edge approach, she is shaping the future of learning and inspiring countless students across India.
