Celebrating Me

I turn one year older, better, wiser, and happier  –  I am celebrating me, celebrating my life, celebrating the amazing people in my life, celebrating successes as well as being thankful, being reflective, and counting blessings

Today, when I look back on my life, I can see the pain I have endured, the mistakes I have made and the hard times I have suffered. When I look in the mirror, I can see how strong I have become, and the lessons I have learned and I am proud of who I am.

I realized my life has evolved. I marvel at how my life has changed. My views, interests, thoughts, and opinions have changed. They are continuously going through a refinement process.

Looking back and reflecting on my personal evolution I only feel gratitude. I’m grateful for the experiences that have shaped me into the woman I am today and also grateful I no longer am that younger version of myself.

What I have learned –

*To trust God in every circumstance. God is always in control and He will never leave us.

*To Enjoy the little things in life – cos it’s the little things that make life beautiful.

*To Find happiness within myself – I realized no one helps you find it except you.

*To Spread smiles and happiness: Smile more, love more, give more – there’s more joy in giving than receiving.

*To Be kind – never know the battles others are fighting.

*To Stop making judgments about others – give people the benefit of the doubt. Assume good intentions. Look past their style, their demeanor, their choice of words, or even the FB / insta selfies or posts.

*To stay true to myself – to live authentically rather than faking it or forcing it.

*To keep away from negative people and definitely a negative environment.

The most important lesson I learned is –

To Embrace Myself – For me, the first step to learning to love myself was learning to notice myself.  Over time, I learned – I am not my family. I am not my relationships. I am not what people think of me. I am not my failure. I am not my success. I am myself. Regardless.

I have so much to say and to be thankful for. All I can say is my life is full of God’s grace and His endless mercies.

Forever Thankful, Always Grateful, Abundantly Blessed! I am getting older, but my inner child is ageless.
