I had a cup of care once, for all the things I heard.
It kept filling up from then; from comments so absurd.

I had a cup of care once, for the pretty little lies;
for a touch of formality or friends in disguise.

I had a cup of care once, filled with worry more than care.
It was seldom tinted; cause it made your wrong, look fair…

I had a cup of care once, which made me often cry.
So then I knew it was time to- kiss the cup goodbye.

I’ve lost my cup of care now. It could be far away;
or broken down to pieces and buried in dismay.

What I know about my cup is that now I can overlook its brim.
because finally my cup of care; is empty from within.
