Devaki Pandit is an Indian Classical Singer. She has won the Maharashtra State Award for the best playback singer twice. Let us wish her a very happy birthday

Devaki Pandit was born on 6 March 1965 in Maharashtra, India in a family which has a lineage in arts. She was initiated into music by her mother Usha Pandit. She received her formal training at the age of 9 from Pandit Vasantrao Kulkarni. Later Devaki became a disciple of Padma Vibhushan Ganasaraswati Kishori Amonkar and Padmashree Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki.

With learning the intricacies from her mother and her gurus, Devaki flourished as an accomplished singer. Her keen sensibilities and eagerness to achieve versatility led her to sing various forms such as bhajans, ghazals, abhangas, and songs for films apart from Indian classical music. She went on to collaborate with renowned artists such as Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Ustad Rais Khan, Gulzar, Jatin–Lalit, and Ustad Zakir Hussain in the field of films, television, and live classical performances.

She received the state awards for best female playback singer given by the Maharashtra State government twice in the years 1986 and 2002.
