Happy Birthday to the Very Talented Alia Bhatt
Happy Birthday to one of the most famous and talented actresses in India, Alia Bhatt.
Alia Batt was born on 15th March 1993 as the daughter of Indian Film Director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. She wanted to become an actress since early childhood. After playing a small role as a child actress in the film Sangharsh (1999), years later she debuted through prominent director Karan Johar’s movie ‘Student of The Year’. Her performance was not well received, and she received much criticism for her character as the rich girl Shanaya.
However, instead of getting discouraged by this, Alia wanted to perform better roles and she waited till she got the role of a kidnapped girl with Stockholm Syndrome in the movie ‘Highway’. Her performance in the movie was well received and she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for this movie. After a few other movies, Alia landed herself in movies like Udta Punjab (2016) and Razi (2018). In both these movies, she had strong characters and she got the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Her portrayal of Safeena, the eccentric girlfriend of the main character in the movie Gully Boy got her another Filmfare Award for Best Actress in the year 2019.
Alia has constantly been under public criticism for her nepotism background. But she has constantly silenced this criticism with her excellent performances. She was recently seen in Sanjay Leela Bansali’s movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
In addition to acting in films, Bhatt has launched her own line of clothing and handbags as well as the production company Eternal Sunshine and is the founder of the ecological initiative CoExist.
