Producer of “The Elephant Whisperer” prays at Golden Temple after winning Oscar

Renowned Indian film producer Guneet Monga recently visited the Golden Temple to offer her gratitude after her documentary, “The Elephant Whisperer,” won an Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Subject category. The film follows a man named Mohan, who spent 22 years of his life rescuing abused elephants.

Monga expressed her joy and gratitude to the temple, and to Mohan, who inspired the documentary. She thanked him for his work and stated that the film was dedicated to his efforts to rescue elephants from captivity and abuse.

Monga also shared a picture of herself at the temple on social media and thanked everyone for their support.

Monga is known for producing award-winning films, including “Gangs of Wasseypur,” “The Lunchbox,” and “Masaan.” She is the founder of Sikhya Entertainment, which has produced several critically acclaimed films and has been instrumental in promoting independent cinema in India.

The Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is a prominent Sikh Gurdwara in Amritsar, Punjab, and is considered one of the most sacred places of worship for Sikhs worldwide.
