Redefining the Norms
Nishu Singh is a CDF Transformation Fellow who has sailed through all the challenges and paved the way. We at the CDF, Transformation, call Nishu a Trailblazer.
He has been constantly redefining the concept of building dreams and aspirations and believes in living by example.
‘Empowering myself means empowering those around me
– Nishu Singh
Nishu has been enthusiastic about learning and sees his journey as nothing but a way to learn at every step. Academics is something that Nishu says is the closest to him, and though his journey has been one where he had to compromise on what he aspired to be, he never ceased building another one. Since his 6th grade, he grew up wanting to be a doctor, despite excellent results, he had to drop his dreams due to financial reasons, but he remained undeterred and completed his graduation, and soon after got a Master in Political Science and now is to pursue his PhD.
Nishu personally feels that the only way to empower others is to empower oneself.
Since the age of 10, Nishu has been self-studying and had to take responsibility to support his family even as a teenager. Nishu’s day starts at 5 am and ends at 8 pm. After getting back from his work where he is currently working as an accountant, Nishu crunches into his routine to get a few hours to study and work on his proposal and complete the assignments.
One message that Nishu gives is to never lose hope. The whole theory is to keep on striving in every step and to keep pushing and drawing a direction for yourself. Nishu, iterates strongly, that the process to the destination should be slow, where you learn and reflect and change.
