Remembering Dr. P Rama

We’re paying tribute to Dr. P Rama, a renowned forensic medicine expert who made a significant impact on Kerala’s justice system.

Dr. Rama was a highly respected doctor who worked at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. She was the head of the forensic medicine department and worked tirelessly to uncover the truth behind many high-profile cases in Kerala.

Her expertise and dedication helped bring justice to many families. She was known for her meticulous work and her ability to piece together the evidence to reveal the truth.

One of the most notable cases she worked on was the Marykutty case. Her post-mortem findings revealed that Marykutty’s death was a murder, which was a shocking revelation at the time.

Dr. Rama also played a crucial role in the Kalluvathukkal Hooch tragedy. Her findings about the effects of Methyl Alcohol on the human body were instrumental in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

In another notable case, the Akku murder case, Dr. Rama’s expertise helped establish that Akku’s death was a homicide, not an accident. Her findings were crucial in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

Dr. Rama’s work was not limited to these high-profile cases. She worked on many other cases, always striving to uncover the truth and bring justice to the victims and their families.

Dr. Rama was a respected and beloved figure in her field. She was also the wife of famous actor Jagadish and the mother of two daughters, Dr. Remya and Dr. Soumya.

Sadly, Dr. Rama passed away on April 1, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and colleagues.
