Background:

Roshni Nadar, the daughter of Shiv Nadar, one of India’s most successful entrepreneurs, was born in 1998. She grew up in Delhi and attended Vasant Valley School.

Roshni earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Northwestern University, with a specialization in radio, television, and film.

Roshni earned her master’s degree in business administration – MBA – from the Kellogg School of Management, with a concentration on social enterprise strategy and management.

Before joining HCL, she worked as a producer for a number of Indian companies. Roshni had been active in brand building across the HCL Group within a year of joining HCL Enterprise.

HCL Corporation promoted her to executive director and chief executive officer (CEO).

Prior to joining HCL Corporation as CEO, she served as a trustee of the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a Chennai-based not-for-profit organization that is affiliated with Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering.

In 2017, Babson College honored Roshni with the Lewis Institute Community Changemaker Award. She was named Indian Business Leader of the Year 2019 by Horasis, an internationally known think organization. Roshni is a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL, 2014-19), a diverse community and World Economic Forum programme dedicated to developing the world’s next generation of leaders. Roshni is a gifted classical singer as well. She is an enormous source of motivation for all of us.
