At an age when most people are slowing down, Usha Ray is accelerating her dreams. This two-time stage-four cancer survivor has made an incredible comeback, not just in life but also in academics. Her story is a testament to the power of determination, resilience, and the pursuit of knowledge.

A New Chapter at 79

Usha’s journey began in April 2023, when she decided to pursue an MBA in Healthcare Management, nearly 45 years after she last studied. With no prior experience in technology, she stepped back into the classroom, ready to face new challenges.

“I didn’t know how to use a laptop, but I bought one anyway. I practiced, and I’m still learning—but I wasn’t going to let that stop my classes,” she shared with TNIE.

Usha’s path hasn’t been easy. She battled cancer twice, first in 2003 and again in 2022. But she emerged stronger, proving that age is just a number when it comes to learning and growing.

A former teacher with degrees in Zoology (1966) and Education (1978), Usha’s story is an inspiration to anyone who thinks it’s too late to pursue their dreams.

A Message of Hope

Usha’s message to the world is simple yet powerful: “If I can do it at 80, why can’t you?” Her journey is a reminder that it’s never too late to learn, grow, and pursue our passions.
