Reiki- the healing energy
The word Reiki has been derived from the Japanese language. It has two Kanji (Japanese writing system, based on symbols representing words or ideas), Rei and Ki. Rei means Universal and Ki means Energy. Therefore, Reiki means “Universal Energy”.
We are alive because life-force energy flows through us. When this flow of life-force energy is disturbed, it causes a slowing down of bodily functions in one or more areas of the physical body.
The life-force energy regularly responds to thoughts and feelings. It becomes disrupted when we accept, either consciously or unconsciously, negative thoughts or feelings about ourselves.
Reiki works at different levels- the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, enhancing every aspect of life. Reiki is not only one of the oldest healing systems, but also one of the most versatile. This ancient Japanese method of healing uses energy to balance the body and mind, and its benefits can be felt by both Reiki practitioners and seekers of this healing energy.
In our journey of life, we develop many relationships with people. We preserve and perpetuate strong bonds with our parents, siblings, relatives, and friends. As we grow older, we engage in more relations. When we fall in love or get married, we develop a new kind of relationship.
The first step in any connection is to recognize that each relationship is a living creation. It is a special blend of energies between people. Once you recognize the relationship as a life form, it becomes much easier to detach your thoughts and emotions. This outlook helps to serve as a channel of healing energy directed toward the relationship.
When there is an imbalance in a relationship, it is very often rooted in power issues and fears. Underlying the quest for power is fear. The more fearful a person is, the more control over their relationship they believe they need to feel safe.
Reiki is a very effective tool that assists in creating and nurturing successful relationships in your life. The first and foremost step in healing a relationship with Reiki is to identify the areas of weakness or imbalance. You need to focus on the action of identifying these areas. A Reiki master uses gentle hand movements to guide the flow of healthy energy- the life-force energy- through the seeker’s body to reduce stress and promote healing.
It is often helpful to select an object that can physically represent the relationship. This spiritually guided life force energy is not exclusively channeled to only life forms. Inanimate objects such as crystals, jewelry, baths, and oracle cards, given to each other can also help serve the purpose. At least say, ways to use Reiki energy are limitless, and the effects are boundless.
