Madhya Pradesh Athletes Bag Silver Medals at ITF Triathlon Championship

Two young female athletes from Madhya Pradesh, Durvisha Pawar, and Arna Murmakar, made the state proud by winning silver medals at the ITF Chennai Open competition held in Avadi. The two athletes are part of the Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy and competed in two different events, a triathlon, and a duathlon.
Durvisha Pawar, who participated in the junior triathlon event, completed a course of 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling, and 4 kilometers of running to secure the second position. This was Durvisha’s second win this month for the state, having previously won a bronze medal at an ITF event in Bengaluru on April 9.
Arna Murmakar, on the other hand, won a silver medal in the duathlon event, which consisted of a dual course of 4 kilometers of running, 20 kilometers of cycling, and then 2 kilometers of running.
The Avadi Police Commissionerate, in association with the Indian Triathlon Federation and Chennai Runners Club, organized the Avadi ITF Triathlon-2023 competition, which was flagged off by the Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Udhayanidhi Stalin.
