National Film Awards 2023: Allu Arjun, Alia Bhatt, and Kriti Sanon Shine
The 69th National Film Awards celebrated exceptional talent across the Indian film industry. Allu Arjun clinched the Best Actor award for his remarkable performance in the Telugu film ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’ Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s stellar portrayal in ‘Gangubai Kathaiwadi’ earned her the coveted Best Actress honor, while Kriti Sanon‘s heart-touching role in ‘Mimi’ also secured her a National Film Award for Best Actress.
R. Madhavan, renowned actor and filmmaker, was recognized for his directorial debut, ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,’ which won the Best Feature Film award. Pallavi Joshi’s brilliant performance in ‘The Kashmir Files’ earned her a National Film Award for the Best Supporting Actress award, and Pankaj Tripathi was honored as the Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Mimi.’
Young talent was celebrated too, with Bhavin Rabari winning the Best Child Actor award for his role in Pan Nalin’s ‘Chhello Show,’ which also bagged the Best Gujarati Film award. The soulful song “Mayava Chaayavaa” from ‘Iravin Nizhal’ earned Shreya Ghoshal the Best Female Playback award.
The Special Jury Award went to Vishnu Vardhan, the director of ‘Shershaah,’ a biopic about Kargil war hero Vikram Batra.
Furthermore, the excellence of music in Indian cinema was acknowledged as G Devi Sri Prasad received the Best Music Direction (Songs) Award for his compositions in the Telugu blockbuster film ‘Pushpa: The Rise.’ Karan Johar and Dharma Productions were also honored with the Special Jury Award.
These awards not only recognize outstanding performances but also the diverse and rich talent that contributes to the Indian film industry, making it one of the most dynamic and vibrant in the world.
