Ananya K A, a student from Alva’s PU College in Dakshina Kannada district, has secured the first rank in the commerce stream in the II PU exams. When asked about her achievement, she attributed it to the support she received from her teachers and the chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, Dr Mohan Alva. Ananya shared that she was consistent in her marks during college exams and utilized her study hours effectively. Her hard work paid off as she secured the top rank in the commerce stream.

Ananya’s mother, who is a government school teacher, expressed her happiness for her daughter’s achievement. Dakshina Kannada district has secured the top spot in the state with a pass percentage of 95.33% in the second year Pre-University examination. Udupi district stood second with 95.24%. The achievement was possible due to the excellent preparation done in advance by the principals and lecturers of PU colleges. Subject-wise question papers were prepared by the subject lecturers’ associations to help students prepare for the exams.
