Sexist Vinatge Ad

Photographer and video editor, Eli Rezkallah created a series called “In A Parallel Universe” where he switched gender roles portrayed in the vintage ads to exhibit some shallow stereotypes.

For generations, there are various gender stereotypes that exist in society. And inspired them in the olden era there had been many advertisements that showed women in a derogatory position. Now Inspired by those ads, photographer and video editor from Beirut, Lebanon, Eli Rezkallah created a series called “In A Parallel Universe”. In this series, he decided to switch gender roles portrayed in these vintage ads to exhibit some shallow stereotypes. This artist’s unconventional way of revealing the sexist problems in the vintage ads left many netizens impressed! As some of these sexist stereotypes still exist in some form or other, no wonder, many across the world could relate to her work. His thought-provoking images went viral across various social media platforms.
