In the new season of the popular Australian genealogy show “Who Do You Think You Are?”, eight prominent Australians, including long time media figure Jenny Brockie, will be tracing their family histories. Brockie, who hosted the show “Insight” for nearly two decades, will be stepping into the subject’s chair as she attempts to uncover the mystery of her father’s ancestry.

Brockie’s father died when she was only four years old, leaving her with little connection to his side of the family. As a young adult, she was given a diamond watch that her father had given her mother when they married, but it was later stolen in a burglary. This deeply sentimental loss, along with the stories behind other important personal belongings, will be discussed in her episode.

Despite her experience asking difficult questions about others’ lives, Brockie admits that exploring her own history is a new and emotional experience. She hopes that her story will inspire others to delve into their own family histories and uncover their roots.
