Bhagyashree, who is best known for her role in the 1989 blockbuster film “Maine Pyar Kiya,” recently spoke about why she chose to prioritize motherhood over her acting career at a young age. In an interview, she shared that she was only 19 years old when she got married and had her first child, and she felt that she was too young and not capable enough to handle both her personal life and her professional career.

Bhagyashree said that she did receive several films offers after “Maine Pyar Kiya,” but she turned them down because she wanted to focus on being a mother and raising her children. She explained that she did not want to miss out on her children’s formative years, and she wanted to be there for them as much as possible.

The actress also shared that her decision was influenced by her own upbringing, as her mother had sacrificed her own career to raise her and her siblings. Bhagyashree expressed her gratitude towards her mother for making that sacrifice and instilling in her the importance of being there for one’s family.

While she did take a break from acting to focus on her family, Bhagyashree did make a comeback to films in recent years. She appeared in films such as “Red Alert: The War Within”, “Humko Deewana Kar Gaye”.
