BharatPe CEO praises wife for being a top female taxpayer in India
Ashneer Grover, the founder, and CEO of BharatPe, a digital payment company, recently made a statement praising his wife, Madhuri Jain Grover, for being among the highest female taxpayers in India. He tweeted, “She’s killing it! Very proud that my wife, Madhuri Jain Grover is one of the highest taxpayers amongst women in India.”
Madhuri Jain Grover is a fashion designer by profession and has been running her own fashion label for the past 12 years. She is also a board member of BharatPe, the company founded by her husband.
Ashneer Grover’s tweet drew attention to the contribution of women in the Indian workforce and the importance of recognizing their achievements. It is not uncommon for women in India to be financially dependent on their spouses, and Ashneer’s tweet serves as a reminder that women can be financially independent and contribute significantly to the country’s economy.
In recent years, the Indian government has been encouraging more women to join the workforce and take up leadership roles. The government has launched several initiatives such as the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, which aims to empower girls and women through education and employment.
Ashneer Grover’s tweet also sheds light on the issue of tax compliance in India. Despite the government’s efforts to increase tax compliance, many individuals and businesses continue to evade taxes. Ashneer’s tweet serves as a reminder that paying taxes is a civic duty and that everyone, regardless of gender, should contribute their fair share to the country’s development.
