At the age of 11, Shraddha Dhawan embarked on a life-changing journey. She began by assisting her father, Satyavan, in milking buffaloes and supplying milk to local dairies. Little did she know that this modest start would lay the foundation for a thriving enterprise worth Rs 1 Crore today.
By the age of 13 or 14, Shraddha Dhawan had absorbed the intricacies of buffalo trading, demonstrating dedication and a natural business acumen. Today, at 24, she holds an MSc in Physics and owns Shraddha Farm in Nighoj village, Maharashtra. Her farm now boasts an impressive two-story buffalo shed housing 80 buffaloes, a testament to her unwavering pursuit of excellence.
Shraddha Dhawan’s transition from buffalo trading to dairy farming was a gradual, well-planned process. She reinvested her profits wisely, avoiding the need for loans. By 2017, her farm had 45 buffaloes, and she focused on improving milk quality through meticulous feeding strategies.
In addition to dairy farming, Shraddha Dhawan diversified her business. Shraddha ventured into vermicomposting, producing 30,000 kg of vermicompost per month under the brand CS Agro Organics. She also established a biogas plant, making her farm a zero-waste business.
What sets Shraddha apart is her commitment to sustainability and efficiency. Her farm optimizes costs by sourcing fodder at the lowest prices and carefully tracking buffalo traders, resulting in significant savings.
Beyond her business success, Shraddha Dhawan conducts training programs, sharing her knowledge and experience. In the last fiscal year, her dairy, vermicompost, and training businesses collectively generated an impressive revenue of Rs 1 Crore, a testament to her determination, vision, and hard work. Shraddha Dhawan’s journey is an inspiring example of how humble beginnings can lead to extraordinary achievements with passion, perseverance, and a strategic mindset.
