Chandramukhi 2, the sequel to the 2005 horror-comedy, has been making waves at the box office since its theatrical release on September 28. Starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence, the film has managed to surpass the ₹25 crore mark within just five days of its release, with a total collection of ₹28.95 crore at the domestic box office.

The film, directed by P. Vasu, tells the story of a dancer portrayed by Kangana, embroiled in a long-standing dispute with King Vettaiyan Raja, played by Raghava. This dispute takes a supernatural turn when a family facing multiple problems moves into a grand mansion, reawakening the soul of Chandramukhi.

While Chandramukhi 2 has performed decently, it falls behind Fukrey 3, which has earned an impressive ₹54.34 crore in the same five-day period. Additionally, it faces competition from the Vivek Agnihotri-directed film, The Vaccine War, which has garnered only ₹7.25 crore in its box office run.

Chandramukhi 2 received mixed reviews from critics and had to contend with box office clashes against Fukrey 3 and The Vaccine War. Nevertheless, its steady performance indicates its appeal among audiences.
