Some handpicked closet essentials that you need in this season to spice up your wardrobe.

After almost two years of on-again, off-again lockdowns, online school, and WFH, we finally stepped into 2022. And just like that, “The New Year, New Me” calls for a fresh new wardrobe too. This upcoming season has many fun, quirky, and boujee trends. To achieve your dream closet and be the center of attention at a party, you need to incorporate some of these new pieces in your closet while bidding goodbye to others.

Scroll down to read what are the ultimate spring/summer closet essentials that you need to have in 2022.

  1. Blazer

Rather than a trend, a blazer is one of the ultimate classic pieces that everyone should have in their closet. A good pair of blazers can be your BFF in those days when you can’t decide what to wear. Also if worn correctly, blazers can take your outfit to another level.

2. Sequins

Sequins have been around for the past two seasons now and we certainly can’t get enough of them. A pair of sequin pants or perhaps a short sequin dress – whatever it is, be sure if you step out wearing sequins you’ll be the center of attention.

3. Saturated Bags

If 2021 marked the beginning of colorful bags, then in 2022 it just got better! From runways to local coffee shops, you can see people carrying bags in the colors of very peri (Pantone color of the year 2022), canary yellow, and bubblegum pink. Even if you put on a simple outfit, a statement bag can zhoosh it up a little bit.

4. Knitwear

Knitwear will continue to thrive in this season too. Whether it’s sweater vests, cardigans, or perhaps pants – we’ll get to see knitwear everywhere. So, why not get your hands on them? Even if you’re not someone who follows trends, you should own at least a piece of knitwear, as they are versatile enough to go with any outfit.

5. Bra Tops

Considered as one of the risqué pieces, the bra tops are the new favorite of Gen Z. You can pair these lightweight, hassle-free, stylish tops with a comfy pair of jeans, throw a jacket on top and you’re good to go.

6. Voluminous Dress

Every closet needs at least one whimsical, campy dress to wear on days when you want to go that extra mile. From Simone Rocha, and Richard Quinn to Oscar De La Renta – dramatic voluminous dresses, puff sleeves are the new favorite of every designer.

7. Platform Shoes

The 70s era is back again and this time it brought platforms! Ditch your boring old heels and opt for platforms this season. From sandals to heels, platforms are everywhere and you surely don’t wanna miss out on these.
