In a recent statement, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate criticized Union ministers Smriti Irani and Piyush Goyal for allegedly firing their officers on special duty (OSD). Shrinate raised concerns about whether the OSDs were being unfairly targeted as “fall guys.” She demanded to know the reason for their dismissals and called on the ministers to speak up about the issue.
Devanshi Shah, who previously served as OSD to Smriti Irani, clarified on Twitter that she had resigned due to family obligations and was not sacked. She requested that Shrinate not damage her professional reputation by using her as a pawn in a political game.
This is not the first time that Shrinate has spoken out against government officials. Last week, she called out Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his comments on Rahul Gandhi and his alleged involvement in financial scandals. Shrinate responded with a quip about sending Sarma his favorite biscuits, implying that his threats held no weight.
