Born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, on December 21, 1987, Navjot Simi obtained a BDS degree from Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital. Transitioning from dentistry to the UPSC exam, she prepared diligently, taking coaching in Delhi but emphasizing self-study and internet resources.
Clearing the UPSC exam on her first attempt, Navjot Simi secured the IPS service and Bihar cadre. Trained at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, she began her career as the DSP of Patna. As an IPS officer, she has been actively involved in maintaining law and order, crime prevention, and social welfare.
