Deputy Lord Mayor Encourages Women Entrepreneurs to Join TechFoundHer AI Event
The TechFoundHer AI Roadshow, set up by Co Down entrepreneur Mairin Murray, is launching at The MAC, Cathedral Quarter, later this month. This initiative aims to foster women’s participation in the tech sector and provide learning and networking opportunities.
Speaking at the launch, Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Áine Groogan expressed Belfast’s commitment to inclusive growth and opportunities for local entrepreneurs. She highlighted the event’s importance in promoting female entrepreneurship and tech sector participation.
The roadshow, following the success of the TechFoundHer Bootcamp in Dublin, features various activities, including motivational talks and the premiere screening of the award-winning film “Show Her The Money.” The film sheds light on the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in securing funding.
The event boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including producer Catherine Gray, CEO Wendy Ryan, entrepreneur Dr. Lollie Mancey, and media expert Tina Calder. They will share insights on the AI revolution and empower women in tech.
Mairin Murray emphasized TechFoundHer’s mission to unlock women’s potential in tech entrepreneurship. With support from sponsors like Belfast City Council and Queen’s University Belfast Business School, TechFoundHer aims to drive systemic change and foster gender equality in the tech industry.
