Estée Lauder Companies Honor Pride Month
In June 2024, Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) and its LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group, wELCome, are observing Pride Month under the banner “Beauty in Pride: We Are Here.” This theme serves as both a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and a call to action for allies to engage, understand, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights.
ELC acknowledges ongoing challenges facing LGBTQIA+ individuals, such as increased violence and rights restrictions. While Pride Month is a time for celebration, it also honors the historical struggles and achievements that enable today’s freedoms.
Pride represents a commitment beyond a single month, advocating for inclusivity, support for marginalized groups, and promoting love and acceptance. wELCome and ELC stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, aiming to make Estée Lauder Companies a leader in prestige beauty for LGBTQIA+ consumers and a top employer for LGBTQIA+ talent.
Consistently recognized as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality,” ELC has achieved a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The company continues to expand the global reach of wELCome ERG, reaffirming its role as a dedicated ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Through these initiatives, ELC and wELCome are fostering an inclusive culture, advocating for equality, and celebrating the rich diversity that strengthens both the company and society at large.
