Females Shine in UPSC PCS 2023: Namrata Singh, CBSE 12th Topper, Aces Exam

On April 7, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) announced the results of the UPSC PCS 2023 examination, and it was a moment of pride for women. Out of the top ten students, eight are females, proving that the power of females knows no bounds.

The first position was secured by Divya Sikarwar of Agra, followed by Pratiksha Pandey of Lucknow at the second position, and Namrata Singh of Bulandshahr at the third position. Namrata Singh, who is also the CBSE 12th topper of her district, shared her educational qualifications and preparation strategy in an interview.

Namrata Singh pursued her Class 12th from an inter-college in Anupshahr and then went on to complete her BTech from NIT Delhi. She qualified for UPSC Prelims and Mains exam in 2021 and aims to become an IAS officer. Her preparation strategy involved dedicating more than 7 hours a day to studying and cutting off from social media.

The UPPSC announced that out of the total 364 selected candidates, 110 were girls, which is about 33 percent. Moreover, out of the 39 selected SDMs, 19 are women, showing the rising power of women in civil services.

Namrata Singh dedicated her success to her family and hopes to inspire other girls to pursue their dreams fearlessly. The achievements of these female toppers are a shining example of the strength and perseverance of women in the face of adversity.
