Nikhat Zareen’s Dream to Conquer Paris Olympics

Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen emerged victorious at the World Championships this year held in her home country. Competing in a new weight category, Zareen had to cut an additional two kilos to prepare for the tough opponents she faced. As the most recognized Indian boxer today, Zareen felt the positive pressure of being the face of the event, with the home crowd chanting her name, boosting her confidence.

Zareen’s journey to the top was not without challenges. In an interview, she shared that she and her family faced many obstacles when she decided to pursue boxing. However, she advises young girls to dream big and not be afraid of stepping outside their comfort zone to become a champion.

For Zareen, going to the 2024 Paris Olympics is the ultimate dream. It is the moment she has worked hard for over the years. However, going to the Olympics is not enough; she aims to come back with the yellow metal and expects nothing less than that from herself.
