In the Asian Games 2023, the Indian women’s squash team secured a spot in the semi-finals, guaranteeing a medal, despite a 3-0 loss to Malaysia.

The match against Malaysia ended 3-0 in Malaysia’s favor, marking India’s first loss in the women’s team squash Pool B.

The Indian team, comprising Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa, and Tanvi Khanna, had previously shown their skill by winning their respective matches. They secured a triumphant 3-0 victory over Nepal, displaying their prowess.

Despite the loss in the semifinals, the Indian women’s squash team had already secured their spot in the semis. This guaranteed India at least a bronze medal, adding to their overall count of 24 at the Asian Games 2023.

The Indian squash teams had a series of victories in the tournament, including the men’s team winning against Kuwait and Nepal. The women’s team also dominated Pakistan with a 3-0 win in their opening pool match.

However, the match against Malaysia posed a tough challenge. Despite Anahat Singh’s efforts in the third game, Malaysian player Rachel Arnold secured the final match 14-12, sealing a 3-0 victory for her team.
