Infosys, the Indian multinational information technology company, has announced a dividend payout of Rs 17.50 per share for its shareholders. The announcement was made after the company’s board meeting, held on April 13, 2023.
As per reports, the company’s co-founder N.R. Narayana Murthy, his daughter Akshata Murthy, and the Murthy family, who hold significant stakes in the company, are set to receive substantial payouts as a result of the dividend announcement.
N.R. Narayana Murthy and his family hold a 3.44% stake in Infosys, with Akshata Murthy owning a 0.77% stake in the company. As a result, the Murthy family is expected to earn a significant dividend payout from the company.
The announcement of the dividend payout comes after Infosys reported a strong financial performance for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022, with revenues of Rs 30,706 crore and a net profit of Rs 7,889 crore. The company’s board has also approved a share buyback of up to Rs 12,000 crore.
Infosys has a history of rewarding its shareholders with dividend payouts and share buybacks, and the latest announcement is expected to boost investor confidence in the company.
The dividend payout is expected to be paid to eligible shareholders on April 28, 2023.
