Vice President Kamala Harris holds a narrow lead over former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, according to a recent Quinnipiac University poll. In a head-to-head matchup, Harris leads with 50% of the vote to Trump’s 47%. When third-party candidates are included, Harris maintains a slight advantage, with 48% to Trump’s 45%. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. picks up 4%.

Supporters on both sides are highly enthusiastic. Seventy percent of Trump’s backers and 66% of Harris’s supporters say they are “very enthusiastic” about their candidates. Voters in the state prioritize the economy (32%) and preserving democracy (25%) as top issues. Immigration follows at 10%.

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, plan to tour Pennsylvania by bus. Their visit comes just days before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Harris’s campaign is focusing on defining the economic debate, criticizing Trump’s record, and presenting their plan to strengthen the middle class.

Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign has reignited the debate over Medicare for All. They attack Harris for her past support of the single-payer healthcare system. Although she has distanced herself from the plan, Trump’s team calls her a radical liberal and a flip-flopper.

Harris’s campaign quickly responded. They criticized Trump’s economic policies, highlighting job losses and economic instability during his presidency. Harris’s team emphasizes the clear choice between her vision for the middle class and Trump’s policies, which they argue favor billionaires and corporations.

With less than 90 days until the election, Harris will unveil her economic policy agenda in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her plan aims to lower costs, cap rent increases, and combat corporate greed. This announcement follows news that inflation is easing, with July’s Consumer Price Index showing slower price hikes.

As the race tightens, Harris’s focus on economic issues and her appeal to middle-class voters could make a crucial difference in Pennsylvania and across the country.
