Malvika Sharma defends chess against gender bias in trolling
Actor Malvika Sharma faced a lot of negativity after sharing a photo of herself playing chess. She didn’t expect this reaction and was surprised by the comments she received. Despite just wanting to share a fun moment from her life, trolls started criticizing her and even questioned her intelligence because she’s a woman and an actor.
Malvika learned to play chess during the pandemic and really enjoys it. However, she was taken aback when people started saying that chess is only for men and that women aren’t as smart. Some even accused her of playing the “woman card” when she tried to defend herself. Malvika was upset that people were attacking her profession and all women, not just her.
She wanted to set the record straight by explaining that intelligence has nothing to do with gender or profession. Malvika has multiple degrees and is studying for a master’s degree while also working as a lawyer and actor. She believes anyone, regardless of their background, can excel at chess because it’s a game of skill, not gender.
