Muqadas Muskan, a young girl from Kashmir, has made India proud by winning a gold medal in Pencak Silat at the 5th Junior & 20th Senior Pencak Silat World Championship in Abu Dhabi. What’s even more inspiring is that her father, Sajad Ahmad Bhat, is her coach an also a gold medalist.
A Family’s Passion for Martial Arts
Muskan’s family is passionate about martial arts. Her father, Sajad, is a black belt and international referee who introduced his children to the sport. Muskan’s youngest sister, just six years old, has also started competing and won gold in mixed boxing.
Overcoming Challenges
Despite their success, Muskan and her family face a significant challenge: the lack of an indoor training facility in Pampore, Kashmir. However, this hasn’t deterred them, and they continue to train and compete with dedication and passion.
