Muskan Jindal, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, achieved a remarkable feat by cracking the UPSC exam\ on her first attempt, securing an impressive All India Rank of 87 in the 2019 examination, and later becoming an IFS officer. Her journey story towards this achievement began with a strong academic background, excelling in school with a perfect CGPA of 10 in the tenth grade and scoring a remarkable 96% in Class 12. She continued her academic excellence by earning the 5th rank in her graduating class while pursuing a B. Com (Hons) degree from SD College Chandigarh, Punjab University.

Muskan’s UPSC preparation involved daily newspaper reading and a keen focus on current affairs through online compilations. Interestingly, she maintained her smartphone throughout her preparation but stressed the importance of self-control to minimize distractions.

Consistency was a key factor in Muskan’s preparation strategy, and she highlighted the necessity of daily motivation to stay committed to her studies. She believed in the significance of regular practice for answering exam papers and maintained a balanced and honest demeanor during interviews.

While Muskan sought guidance from various institutes, both online and offline, she credited her success primarily to self-study. She diligently set and adhered to weekly study targets, dedicating approximately 7 to 8 hours daily to her preparation. Her inspiring journey serves as a testament to the power of determination, self-control, and consistent effort in achieving success in the UPSC exam on the first attempt.
