BJP Leader Pamela Goswami felicitated with a special garland in Kolkata

BJP leader and former state Youth Wing chief Pamela Goswami was felicitated by Union Minister of State Shantanu Thakur in Kolkata on Saturday. Goswami, who is an actress turned politician, received a special garland that holds significance among the people of Matua society.

In a tweet, Goswami expressed her gratitude towards Minister Thakur and thanked him for honoring her with the most pious garland of the Great Matua Mahasangha. She also thanked the entire Matua community for their love and blessings, stating that they are priceless to her.

Goswami’s felicitation comes a month after she was acquitted in a high profile cocaine smuggling case filed against her during the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections. The BJP leader was elated to receive the special garland and thanked Minister Thakur for being an excellent mentor.
