President Draupadi Murmu Launches herSTART Platform For Women Entrepreneurs

Honourable President Draupadi Murmu launched a startup platform “herSTART” on Tuesday 3rd October 2022 for supporting women entrepreneurs on a two-day visit to Gujarat. She stated that this platform will not only boost innovation in women but also prove to be an effective platform in connecting women entrepreneurs with the support of various government and private enterprises.

This startup platform “herStart” for women entrepreneurs, has been started by Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, the president’s secretariat said in a statement. Moreover, this wonderful initiative will link women entrepreneurs from different regions of the country with the support of various private and government platforms. 

According to officials, the ‘herSTART’ initiative will take the development of Gujarat to the next level as more women entrepreneurs will take the lead. The people are also lauding the startup platform of Gujarat University for women entrepreneurs as it will make the entrepreneurial journey of women easy.

On the occasion, various projects related to education and tribal development were also inaugurated by the President. In addition to this, five different infrastructure projects of the education department, including five high schools for tribals, and a boy’s hostel in the Narmada district were also launched.
