Quadruplets Surprise British Couple During Pregnancy
Gemma Robson and Andy Raine were taken aback after discovering they were expecting quadruplets, as they had initially planned to have only one child. Gemma had two ultrasounds during her pregnancy, and during the second one, the couple learned that they would be welcoming not three but four babies into their family.
The babies, Dani, Skye, Mia, and Taylor, arrived earlier than expected, as Gemma went into labor prematurely. The quadruplets were born via emergency C-section and weighed around 3 pounds each. The newborns were placed in the neonatal care unit for observation due to their premature birth.
The couple will be living together to raise their daughters, including Gemma’s 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, Millie Grace. Gemma expressed her excitement and concerns over raising five children at once, saying, “It is quite daunting going from one child to five.”
Andy missed the birth of his baby girls as he fainted in the delivery room, but he expressed his amazement upon seeing his daughters for the first time. The couple plans to explain the surprising story to their daughters as they get older.
