Radhika Apte made her international runway debut at Paris Fashion Week, walking for Vaishali S’ fall/winter 24 showcase. This event highlights the growing presence of Bollywood stars in the global fashion scene, similar to international personalities like Kylie Jenner and Doja Cat who frequent fashion week.

One of India’s top fine jewelry brands, Tanishq, partnered with Vaishali S for the show, presenting a special collection titled Enchanted Trails. Inspired by India’s lush tropical greenery, the collection featured fluid necklaces crafted over three months by Indian artisans. Each piece, designed with leaves and branches using rare diamonds and precious stones, complemented the fluid draping of the clothing, embodying the theme of nature. This marked Tanishq’s second fashion show, showcasing their fine craftsmanship through innovative designs.

Apte wore a necklace resembling Victorian organdy collars mixed with the delicate ripples of water in Indian streams. She debuted in a draped maroon sari and concluded in an azure blue dress, both featuring Vaishali Shadangule’s signature draped and corded silhouettes. The collection, titled Satori, included handwoven textiles, reflecting both brands’ commitment to India’s craftsmanship legacy. Vaishali’s nature-inspired cording technique was perfectly paired with Tanishq’s exquisitely designed jewelry, featuring motifs like tropical birds, babbling brooks, and intertwined branches.

India’s increasing influence on the global fashion stage is evident with its significant moments on international red carpets and the integration of top luxury brands within its fashion landscape. As more Indian talent, like Janhvi Kapoor and Radhika Apte, participate in prestigious events like Paris Fashion Week, Bollywood’s presence in the international fashion scene continues to grow, marking a new era for Indian fashion and luxury on the world stage.
