Sitharaman Attends ADB Annual Meeting in South Korea
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to attend the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) annual meeting in South Korea from Tuesday. Along with participating in the 56th Annual General Meeting of the Board of Governors of the ADB, she will hold bilateral meetings, address investors, and interact with global economists, governors/finance ministers of the ADB member countries, and business leaders.
During her four-day visit, Sitharaman will also be on the panel during the ADB Governors’ Seminar on ‘Policies to Support Asia’s Rebound’ and participate in the annual meeting focal events like the Governors’ Business. She will also engage with the community diaspora and participate in roundtables with global investors.
In a statement, Sitharaman also highlighted the need for cordiality in political discourse. The meetings will be attended by official delegations of ADB members, observers, non-governmental and civil society organizations, media, financial institutions and banks, and other private sector companies.
