Meet Sreelakshmi Suresh: the world’s youngest web designer
Sreelakshmi Suresh is the world’s youngest web designer. She has also been called the world’s youngest CEO. Let’s learn about this young prodigy on her birthday.
Sreelakshmi was born in Kozhikode, Kerala on 5 February 1998. According to her parents, she started using computers at age three itself. And by age six, she had designed a website herself. When she was eight years old, Sreelakshmi designed her school – Presentation High Secondary School’s website (www.presentationhss.com) which was inaugurated by Binoy Viswam, the forest minister, of the Government of Kerala, on 15 January 2006.
In 2008. The Ministry of Women and Child Development (India) awarded her ‘The National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement. The award was bestowed to her by Sonia Gandhi in a function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 5 January 2009. She has won many other awards as well.
Sreelakshmi wanted to start things on her own. And hence, her own start-up ‘eDesign’ was launched in 2009. She has been named the youngest CEO of India and the youngest web designer in the world, but this title has been given to various other individuals by various media.
