Swastika Ghosh, a table tennis player, has sent a legal notice to the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) for omitting her name from the Indian team for the Asian Table Tennis Championships. Ghosh, who is ranked 50th in the world and 7th in India, was shocked to discover that her name was not included in the Indian team for the tournament.

Ghosh’s legal notice states that she was not given a fair chance to prove herself and that her omission from the team was based on arbitrary and discriminatory grounds. The notice also demands that the TTFI explain the basis of its selection and provide a justification for omitting Ghosh’s name from the team.

Ghosh, who has been consistently performing well in domestic and international tournaments, believes that her omission from the team was unjust and has caused her immense mental and financial distress. She is seeking redressal for the damages caused and hopes that the TTFI will take corrective measures to ensure a fair selection process for future tournaments.

The TTFI, on the other hand, has stated that the selection process was based on performance and that Ghosh did not meet the required criteria. However, they have assured that they will respond to the notice and address Ghosh’s concerns.
