TCS World 10K appoints Sanya Richards-Ross as ambassador

Olympic gold medalist and former world champion sprinter Sanya Richards-Ross has been named as the ambassador for the TCS World 10K race, which is scheduled to be held on May 15 in Bengaluru, India. The announcement was made by Procam International, the organizers of the event.

Richards-Ross, who won gold in the 4x400m relay at the 2012 London Olympics, is excited to be part of the event and to engage with runners from all over the world. She stated that running has been an important part of her life and that she is honored to be part of a race that promotes health and fitness.

The TCS World 10K, which is in its 14th edition, is one of the biggest road races in India and attracts runners from across the country as well as from around the world. The race has a total prize money of $213,000 and consists of three categories – the elite 10K race, the Open 10K race, and the Majja run.

Procam International has put in place several measures to ensure the safety of participants in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants are required to carry a negative RT-PCR test report to enter the event venue, and the organizers have also made arrangements for on-site testing for those who do not have a valid report.

The TCS World 10K has always been a platform for runners to showcase their skills and push their limits. With Sanya Richards-Ross as the ambassador for this year’s race, it is sure to be an event that runners and sports enthusiasts alike will look forward to.
