What do I do?

I am in a dilemma

Do I want to be called a good mamma?

Do I tolerate the drama?

Do I live with never-ending guilt?

Or be with my kids till I spoil them to the hilt?

Do I begrudgingly take some me time?

Or regret every second for no reason or rhyme?

Do I pry into my children’s lives

by keeping track of their every move?

Or do I be the mom who likes to chill and groove

Do I let my kid fly away and become independent

or tie them to the apron strings to keep them connected?

Do I let the kids grow, and have ideas of their own?

Or spoon-feed them the good values and gauge their every tone?

Life’s a quandary, being a mom is no exception

It’s a path one has to tread, so better do it with attention

Maintain the balance, Keep the love around

Keep the communication channels open above and beyond

Be not judgemental, be not resentful

Live your life and you will be all joyful

It’s a dilemma, it’s a tightrope

Balancing choices like a delicate slope

Be a person first, a mom second

All the quandary will then come to an end.
