Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra raised two crucial questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ahead of the 100th episode of his monthly radio show “Mann Ki Baat.” In a tweet, she sought answers from Modi on why India’s female athletes cannot be protected from powerful BJP predators and why the SEBI investigation into Adani group shares manipulation cannot be finished within the Supreme Court timeframe. Moitra’s first question was in connection with the ongoing protest by India’s top wrestlers, who are demanding criminal action against Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Moitra also took a dig at women leaders of the BJP for allegedly maintaining “silence” over the wrestlers’ protest issue. Moitra’s second question was related to the SEBI’s six-month extension request to probe the alleged stock market manipulation of Adani group shares and any lapses in regulatory disclosures. She called the move a joke and said that SEBI wants to protect their favorite businessman, giving him maximum time to cover up.
