Khelo India Women’s Hockey League: Day 1 Victories for Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation and SAI Bal

Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation and SAI Bal emerged victorious on the opening day of the Khelo India Women’s Hockey League (U-21 – Final Phase) in Lucknow on Wednesday. The tournament witnessed some fantastic performances by young female hockey players from various parts of the country.

In the first game of the day, Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation outplayed Salute Hockey Academy with a comprehensive 6-0 victory. Tannu scored two goals, while Manisha, Ravina, Tamanna Yadav, and Nidhi added one each to the tally.

In the second match, SAI Bal beat SAI Shakti with a scoreline of 3-1. Swarnika Rawt opened the account for SAI Bal, but Sakshi Shukla’s goal quickly equalized for SAI Shakti. However, Himanshi Gawande and Dechamma P.G. scored in the second half, securing the win for SAI Bal.

The Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation had a successful outing on the tournament’s earlier days, winning their matches against Sai Shakti Team and Bhai Bhelo Hockey Academy, Bhagta. In the match against Sai Shakti Team, Tannu, Nidhi, and Sakshi Rana scored one goal each, recording an easy 3-0 victory. On Sunday, Sakshi Rana shone with a hat-trick as Pritam Siwach Sports Foundation recorded a 9-0 win against Bhai Bhelo Hockey Academy.

The Khelo India Women’s Hockey League provides a platform for young women players to showcase their talent and potential in the sport. The event celebrates women’s contribution to the field of sports and encourages more girls to participate in hockey.
