Vigilance Minister Atishi has urged officials to record any attempts made by Vigilance Department officials to threaten and intimidate civil servants from other government departments. Atishi emphasized that such actions are violations of the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules and are considered criminal acts. She stated that some officials in her own department have been accused of pressuring civil servants to issue illegal orders by making repeated threatening phone calls. Atishi stressed that the government would not tolerate such behavior but noted that concrete evidence, in the form of recordings, was necessary to take action against the alleged wrongdoers. She urged officials who receive threats to record them and submit the recordings as evidence for potential disciplinary and legal proceedings. Atishi warned that the strongest possible disciplinary and legal actions would be taken against officials found guilty of threatening their colleagues.

Government sources indicated that these allegations stem from irregularities raised by the Vigilance Department regarding various matters, including the appointment of a senior official, expenses related to the Delhi Model Virtual School, and the management of the Armed Forces Preparatory School, among others.
