If you want an easy dessert, try making layer bars. They’re also known as seven-layer bars or Magic Bars and are loved for their cookie-like texture. These Raspberry White Chocolate Layer Bars, created by Jessica Morone, put a fun twist on the classic recipe.

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 cups slivered almonds
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups seedless raspberry jam

Here’s how to make them:

  1. Preheat and Prep: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter and sugar until it looks like damp sand. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of your pan.
  3. Add Layers: Sprinkle slivered almonds and white chocolate chips evenly over the crust.
  4. Pour Condensed Milk: Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the almonds and chocolate chips.
  5. Sprinkle Coconut: Spread flaked coconut evenly over the condensed milk layer.
  6. Spread Jam: Spoon raspberry jam over the coconut, spreading it out gently.
  7. Top it Off: Sprinkle the remaining almonds and white chocolate chips over the raspberry jam.
  8. Bake: Put the pan in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and the jam bubbles.
  9. Cool and Cut: Let the bars cool completely in the pan. Once cool, lift them out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.

These bars are a tasty combination of sweet white chocolate, tangy raspberry, crunchy almonds, and coconut. They’re super easy to make ahead of time and are perfect for parties or just a sweet treat at home.
