Yamini Rangan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of US-based software firm Hubspot, has emerged as another notable Indian name in the tech world. Alongside renowned figures like Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and Parag Agarwal, Yamini Rangan has brought pride to India. With Hubspot’s market value standing at $25.66 billion (approximately Rs 2 lakh crore), she leads a highly successful company.

Yamini Rangan’s journey to success began at the age of 21 when she set off to America to pursue her American dream. Initially, she faced numerous challenges, with a significant portion of her income going towards rent. At one point, she had only $150 to her name. Despite these hurdles, Yamini Rangan remained determined to be independent and refused to return home or seek financial support from her parents.

After graduating with a degree in computer engineering from Bharathiar University in Coimbatore, Yamini Rangan went on to complete her MBA from Berkeley. She then gained experience working for prominent IT companies such as SAP, Lucent, Workday, and Dropbox.

In 2020, Yamini Rangan joined Hubspot as the Chief Customer Executive and quickly rose to the position of CEO within a year. Notably, she was recognized as the most influential woman in San Francisco in 2019 and was listed among other influential women CEOs like Safra Katz of Orawale, Jayashree Ullal of Arista, and Roshni Nadar of HCL.

Originating from a small town in India, Yamini Rangan shattered the glass ceiling and became one of the few women leading a multi-billion dollar tech company in the US. Prior to her role at Hubspot, she had a successful career working for IT giants such as SAP, Lucent, Workday, and Dropbox. Additionally, Yamini Rangan co-founded HubSpot alongside billionaire Dharmesh Shah in 2020, serving as the Chief Customer Officer.
