Get Flawless Skin: Tips for Using Color Corrector
Achieving a radiant complexion can be a challenge, especially when dealing with dark circles, spots, or redness. Concealer or foundation may not always be enough, which is where Color corrector types come in. Beauty blogger Twinkle Varshney shares her insights on choosing and applying orange Color corrector types to tackle these concerns.
Color correctors may seem intimidating at first, but they’re actually easy to use. They work based on color theory and complementary colors. A color corrector is specifically designed to correct undertones and discolorations that can’t be fully covered by foundation or concealer alone.
When choosing a color corrector, consider the tones you want to cancel out, rather than your skin tone. Complementary colors on the color wheel are used to create color correctors. For blue or gray tones like dark under-eye circles or patches on the skin, opt for a peach corrector for light to medium skin tones or an orange corrector for tan to deep skin tones. If you have acne, rosacea, or extreme redness, a green or olive corrector can be helpful.
To apply the color corrector, use your fingers and lightly dab it over the area you want to correct. This allows for precise application and blending into the skin. After applying the corrector, continue with your regular foundation and concealer. The corrector acts as a base, neutralizing the problem areas and creating a smooth canvas for your foundation. Apply foundation evenly for a flawless finish.
