IIT Madras Invites Women Applicants For Data Science And AI Fellowship
IIT Madras opened new doors for students as the Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence has started applications for the Post Baccalaureate Fellowship.
RBCSDAI is an interdisciplinary Research Centre for Data Science and AI in India, well-known for its research in artificial intelligence and data science. Besides, the centre has the largest network analytics, deep reinforcement learning, and the most active natural language processing and deep learning groups.
“The Post Baccalaureate fellows are expected to undertake independent research under the mentorship of a Faculty member at RBCDSAI. They can work with various research teams, and establish collaborations with the numerous visitors and affiliates of the Centre,” said Professor B= Ravindran, Head, RBCDSAI.
Women graduates and postgraduates, under the age of 28 years as of 31 March, 2022, are encouraged to apply for this 2 year research fellowship in data science and AI.
The fellowship will provide an opportunity for them to attend talks and interact with top scientists from across the world. Their work may get published in top journals and prestigious conferences. Or perhaps, they may join leading companies in Data Science and AI or pursue future research in top universities.
The fellows will get support to attend Women in Tech events. Such as, ACM-W, Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, among others and a chance to be paired with a woman mentor from academia or the industry.
The fellows will also be offered a stipend amount of Rs 40,000 per month and depending on their experience and qualification, it could be revised. Also, based on the candidate’s performance during their work period, the faculty may provide a letter of recommendation that will add value to the candidate’s profile in their future endeavors – both in academia and industry.
