Due to this pandemic and the on-going lockdown, within a short span of few months, life has changed in a way that we have never ever even imagined and has made us face the harsh realities of life. While the stress that surround us are mounting up in an unbelievable pace, the women lot is taking the heat more than the other.

Women are being mentally frustrated leading to high stress & anxiety levels. Working women are facing difficulties in managing household work and professional commitments. Some of the common issues that all women are facing during the lockdown are health issues, change in sleep patterns, and feeling of frustration, pressure, guilt, fear and anxiety. Which also lead to bickering and disputes between the couples and make them have a cat and do life. 

So, consciously take few simple steps to calm yourself , when come in to a disagreement with your spouse

• Do not criticize your spouse.

• Stay focused on the present disagreement issue & avoid discussing broader and past  relationship issues.

• Listen to your spouse’s concerns – even if you disagree. Try to understand the issue from their perspective.

FEW TIPS TO MANAGE YOURSELF BETTER DURING THIS LOCKDOWN PERIOD

• Loneliness and feeling disconnected can really affect your mental and physical wellbeing, so stay connected to friends and family.

• Finding moments of peace can be a challenge right now, but just few minutes of meditation during a day can have multitude of positive effects on our mental and physical well-being, and now might be a great time to start.

• Try to do some moderate exercise on certain days as it definitely helps in boosting mood and reducing anxiety.

• If possible, try to spend some time in nature may be outside in your garden or nearby park.

• Limit the amount of screen time focused on COVID-19. Too much information can lead to unnecessary anxiety.

• Organize your photo gallery, revisit old albums, memories and take a moment to be thankful for blessings in your life.

• Read something enriching or engage in a hobby.

• Learn a new skill.

• Make a playlist of your favourite songs that make you happy and listen to them Just ensure to spend some time together as family especially with kids. Have fun with them. Children need structure, so encourage them to continue learning, playing, eating and sleeping as per schedule. Give them specific tasks, which will eliminates a lot of their stress. You can structure playtime, assign chores or ask them to create something. Keep their minds focused on a goal and not on things out of their control. Also just don’t push yourself too hard taking care of the family. There is no bravery in fake toughness. We all can be weak at times. Asking for help is not a weakness. During difficult times, it’s very important to take care of your health—both physical and mental. Learn to treat yourself like a best friend instead. If you’re not feeling as productive as usual — do what you can and know that you’re trying your best during an unprecedented, stressful situation.

Be kind, and forgive yourself if you make mistakes. Just remember, nothing lasts forever and this too shall pass..
